When it is due
Fixed date: all physician licenses must be renewed no later than June 30 of each calendar year, and each renewal carries the license through the next June 30 (Board rule, Ch. 1 Sec. 10; W.S. 33-26-305 requires annual lapse on a board-set date). First-time renewal depends on issue date: licenses issued July 1 through February 28/29 renew by the immediately following June 30; licenses issued March 1 through June 30 renew by June 30 of the next calendar year.
Fee
$155 (annual physician renewal, incl. administrative license, per Board fee schedule PDF effective January 30, 2023). EXCEPTION: the Board entirely waived the renewal fee for the 2026-2027 renewal year during its software conversion; paper renewals still pay a $25 paper processing fee. Late fee

If you miss the deadline
90-day grace period: a physician who misses June 30 may still renew by submitting the renewal application, renewal fee, and $100 grace period surcharge no later than September 30 (Board rule Ch. 1 Sec. 10). For 2026 the Board states all grace period renewals and fees must be RECEIVED in the Board office by 5:00 p.m. on September 30, 2026, and grace period renewal is by paper form. After the grace period the license lapses. Reactivation of a lapsed license (rule Ch. 1 Sec. 12) requires a board application, applicable fees ($250 reactivation per fee schedule, which covers an NPDB report, criminal record check if necessary, and license through the next June 30), two references, and proof of at least 60 hours of qualified CME within the preceding 3 years; the Board may require a licensure interview, and without one reactivation requires a majority vote of the Board. Reinstatement is a separate $300 pathway on the fee schedule, and costs may also be imposed under Ch. 4 Sec. 3(k).

My Wyoming license came through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact. Do I renew differently? ▾
Yes. If your license number ends in the letter C, you must renew directly through the IMLCC website (https://imlcc.com/renew/). Wyoming's fee this year is $0 and the IMLCC charges a $25 processing fee. After the IMLCC notifies the Board, Board staff email you a link to complete a required Board renewal form. Both steps are required.
How do I renew online, and how long does processing take? ▾
Start at the Board's Renew License page (https://wyomedboard.wyo.gov/physicians/renew-license). Because the Board is converting software systems, the 2026-2027 renewal used a Google Docs form linked from that page rather than the old online portal. The Board states it may take up to 7 business days after completing the form for the renewal to be fully processed and a license mailed.
