DOs likewise submit a malpractice/claims list for the previous period, complete renewal forms, and attest to CME; the DO board requires CME certificates to be uploaded to the portal before the end of each renewal year, and audited licensees who cannot document CME face automatic expiration under NRS 633.481.

If you miss the deadline

MD: no grace period. If the biennial fee and required registration information are not submitted when due, the license expires (NRS 630.267(2)). Within 2 years after expiration the physician may be reinstated by paying twice the current biennial registration fee ($1,500 active per the fee schedule), submitting all registration information, and being found in good standing; after 2 years the license cannot be renewed or reinstated and a new license application is required. The board reports licenses that expired during the year to the DEA and the State Board of Pharmacy by September 30 of the odd-numbered year, and reinstatement must be to the status held before expiration. DO: if renewal requirements are not met within 10 days after the renewal date, the board sends a 15-day notice by certified mail; if the license is not renewed within 15 days after receipt of notice, it expires automatically without further notice or hearing, and the expiration is filed with the DEA (NRS 633.481). Restoration requires payment of all past-due renewal fees plus the late payment fee (NRS 633.501), verified CME for the period preceding the renewal date and each period since expiration, and a sworn statement that no disqualifying information was withheld.
